Composite wood shutters offer several advantages over wood. Extira brand composite wood is treated to resist 
rotting and insects. Additionally, our unique patent-pending manufacturing process allows us to quickly create a one-piece composite shutter that is the ultimate in durability and affordability. Composite shutters also offer many advantages over vinyl, which cannot be hinged and are non-functional.
We are introducing our line of composite exterior shutters made from Extira and MiraTEC brand composite wood. Miratec is a preprimed version of Extira that has built in wood grain texture on one side and smooth on the other. It is the ideal cost-effective material choice for those who definitely want to simulate wood grain, but not deal with the hassles of real wood.
